![]() ![]() On Veterancy: level 3 defensive vet will make the Jagd more durable than the King Tiger, if you need a powerful meat sheild, that's certainly the way to go. While slightly less durable than the KT, it's ability to escape bad situations and veterancy greatly improves its chances of survival. It's primary gun can tear through a Sherman in 3 shots or less, it's frontal armour can bounce virtually anything, and is as fast as most medium tanks in the game. It may sound like a bold claim, but for surviveability, speed, firepower and versatility, there is nothing like the Jagd. The Jagdpanther is the single most powerful tank in the game. No unit in CoH can do that kind of miracle work. YOU ONLY GET ONE! do not throw it away in some vain attempt to break through. ![]() Use it to keep the enemy distracted and off balance, while faster and more versatile units like Panthers, Panzer IVs and infantry circle around the enemy for the killing blow, and to keep the KT safe from any flanking manuevers. That being said, it is not the primary tool of your attack. It's turret turns so slowly that the whole vehicle must realisticly turn to keep track of a target. It can soak up obscene amounts of damage while blowing apart any tanks and AT guns in front of it. Ok, so some basic tactics for the KT here: The KT functions very well in the spearhead of an assault, despite being slow. ![]()
